Tasks

A task is a folder on disk — your matter, your documents.

A task is a folder you already have, opened in Patrick. Your source documents are never modified — Patrick reads them and proposes edits in separate, editable copies you own.

The brief

Each task has a short brief — a one-paragraph statement of the objective. It frames everything Patrick does. Right after opening a folder, ask Patrick to draft the brief from the documents.

Notes

A running notes record (decisions, findings, strategy) lives in the sidebar — you and Patrick both add to it as the matter progresses.

Your files stay yours

Patrick never renames, moves, or deletes your originals. Drafts it creates are clearly marked and live alongside them in the same folder, as plain .docx.
